Ian Pennington

Ian is the Chairman of the Construction Yorkshire Steering Group which he joined because he believed that their approach - linking the public and private sectors and linking disadvantaged individuals with construction employers - was a model which would produce increased social cohesion. Ian joined the Renewal Board in 2010 as he saw the opportunity as a natural extension of his involvement with social improvement projects.

As a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Ian has been involved with property throughout the UK for the whole of his working life. Ian joined Renewal because he believes his property experience and expertise could be beneficial together with his ability to provide a bridge between the public and private sectors.
