Communities & Neighbourhoods

Neighbourhoods & Communities

The Neighbourhoods and Communities team involves our work within localities. The team has previously been in charge of neighbourhood management and community regeneration in Inner East Leeds, primarily the Lincoln Green and Burmantofts, Richmond Hill, Halton Moor and Osmondthorpe areas, delivering one of Leeds' intensive neighbourhood management projects.

The team has a background in community engagement and development, partnership development and the project management and delivery of large scale housing and regeneration projects.

Areas of expertise

Community development, including: capacity building and training; organising community action; community cohesion work; community engagement and participation including use of social media and the management and delivery of community consultation processes.

Neighbourhood management, including: tenant involvement and participation; understanding neighbourhood characteristics and dynamics as a part of place-making and tracking surveys of neighbourhood management activity.

Our work in Middleton

Growing out of our experience in Beeston Hill and Holbeck, re'new was invited to become involved in preparing a similar, integrated approach to regeneration in Middleton and has spearheaded the development of an ambitious vision for improving the area and an energetic action plan to drive it forward.

Through the Middleton Regeneration Partnership re’new coordinates the many partners involved in a long term ambitious programme of neighbourhood regeneration for this part of South Leeds.
